Full Solution:
Problem:

I use the NC State Remedy system, and I will be away from the office
for a few days. I have heard that there will be problems if I setup my
email to deliver an automated response while I am away. Is there a
solution?

Solution:

It is true that there will be problems if your email system
auto-responds to notifications from the Remedy system. Fortunately,
there is a simple way for you to temporarily disable your Remedy pager
and email notifications. From within Remedy:

1. Open the "User" form.

2. Click on the "Find Me" button in the upper right-hand corner of
the
   form.

3. Locate the "Availability" field near the bottom of the form.

4. Click on the "No" radio button to tell Remedy that your will not
be
   available to receive email notifications.

5. Save the change by clicking on the "Save" button at the top of the
   User form window.

6. Close the User form window

This will discontinue the delivery of email notifications to you from
Remedy. When you return to the office and wish to begin receiving
notifications again, follow the steps above, and reset your
availability to "Yes" in step 4.
