What does UGS or PBS mean?
Both are Non-Degree Studies classifications. UGS stands for
"Undergraduate Studies," and PBS means "Post-Baccalaureate Studies."
UGS students are non-matriculated (non-degree) students without an
undergraduate degree and PBS students are non-matriculated students
who have already completed a bachelors degree.
Individuals taking classes under the UGS or PBS classification can
take undergraduate or graduate courses to:
Meet NC State University admission requirements, Transfer credits to
another university, Update professional skills, or Enrich personal
